Gabriele Gentile, aka Vetroviola, was born in 1986 in Parma. 

After studies in classical and humanistic fields, he approached digital photography as a self-taught, fascinated by the possibility of fixing an instant by making it eternal. 

He thus develops his artistic research toward the concepts of time and space, investigated in every direction -interior and exterior, past, past, present and future- and projected into dreamlike visions through the intense and expressive use of colors in essential and pure compositions. He has exhibited in shows and events in various italian cities and he has received international awards awards and publications including on the prestigious L’Oeil de la Photographie as well as honorable mention at Prix de la Photographie Paris 2023 and gold medals at Budapest International Foto Awards and Chromatic Photo Awards 2022. In the same year, his project “De-sidera”  dedicated to abandoned places became a book entitled  “Coloured dust”, published in a bilingual Italian-English version  and awarded with the silver medal at Tokyo International Foto Awards.
