\u201c…e l\u2019uomo appicca un incendio e l\u2019incendio lascia la sua impronta nera, puzzolente; ferisce, crea bagliori rossosangue, carbonizza, riduce in cenere.<\/p>\n

Nei miei quadri l\u2019impronta lasciata dal fuoco, il rosso della sofferenza, l\u2019asfissia del fumo e del catrame…. e la paura, lo sgomento provato di fronte alla potenza del fuoco.<\/p>\n

Impronte dentro di me, impronte sulla tela.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c…and the man starts a fire and the fire leaves its black, stinking imprint; it wounds, creates blood-red flashes, it carbonises, it reduces to ashes. <\/span><\/p>\n

In my paintings the imprint left by the fire, the red of suffering, the asphyxiation of smoke and coal tar …. and the fear, the dismay felt in front of the power of fire.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Luana Baldi e\u0300 un\u2019artista autodidatta nata nel 1955 a Linari, un paesino oggi disabitato in provincia di Firenze, ai confini con Siena.
\nNell\u2019aria di Toscana e nell\u2019odore di bosso, immersi nella storia del medioevo nascono i disegni con la sanguigna, i neri dei cipressi e i colori del mare dell\u2019isola d\u2019Elba.<\/p>\n

Luana Baldi is a self-taught artist born in 1955 in Linari, a small town now uninhabited in the province of Florence, on the edge with Siena.<\/span>
