Imponenti cancelli non rappresentano barriere n\u00e9 per gli esploratori audaci n\u00e9 per i profumi della terra che non conoscono confini, e cos\u00ec l\u2019aroma profondo di un vino invecchiato conduce\u00a0 fino alle cantine della dimora nascosta tra i rovi. Sono di una nuda intimit\u00e0, di un colore tenue ma indelebile: sono l\u2019alcova del magico autunno con il suo tappeto rosso di foglie cadute.<\/p>\n

L\u2019uomo non ha potuto bere l\u2019ultimo sorso di estate: resta in attesa, forse di nessuno, ma sa che qualcosa accadr\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Torneranno le stagioni nuove, torner\u00e0 il passato e poi torner\u00e0 il futuro. La parola \u1f10\u03bd\u03b9\u03b1\u03c5\u03c4\u03cc\u03c2 (eniautos) nell\u2019antica Grecia indicava proprio il tempo ciclico, un arco temporale fisso -identificato in un anno- associabile alla stagionalit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Dalla soglia sboccer\u00e0 la primavera, crescer\u00e0 la calura estiva e infine torner\u00e0 la vendemmia della vita: il bruno delle foglie si trasformer\u00e0 in quello delle antiche botti e l\u2019uomo potr\u00e0 assaporare il nettare degli dei.<\/p>\n

O forse rester\u00e0 nell\u2019attesa perenne, poich\u00e9 l\u2019attesa, immaginando piaceri infiniti e ricordando dolci illusioni, rappresenta il vero piacere, il piacere del tempo che verr\u00e0.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Imposing gates do not represent barriers either for bold explorers or for the scents of the earth that know no boundaries, and so the deep aroma of an aged wine leads up to the cellars of the house hidden among the brambles. They are of a naked intimacy, of a soft but indelible color: they are the alcove of the magical autumn with its red carpet of fallen leaves.<\/p>\n

The man has not been able to drink the last sip of summer: he is waiting, perhaps for no one, but he knows that something will happen.<\/p>\n

The new seasons will come back, the past will come back and then the future will come back. The word \u1f10\u03bd\u03b9\u03b1\u03c5\u03c4\u03cc\u03c2 (eniautos) in ancient Greece indicated cyclical time, a fixed time span \u2013 identified in a year \u2013 which can be associated with seasonality.<\/p>\n

Spring will blossom from the threshold, the summer heat will grow and finally the harvest of life will return: the brown of the leaves will transform into that of the ancient barrels and man will be able to savor the nectar of the gods.<\/p>\n

Or perhaps it will remain in perennial waiting, since waiting, imagining infinite pleasures and remembering sweet illusions, represents true pleasure, the pleasure of the time to come.<\/p>\n

Gabriele Gentile, in arte\u00a0Vetroviola<\/strong><\/a>,<\/span> nasce nel 1986 a Parma.<\/p>\n

Si avvicina da autodidatta alla fotografia digitale affascinato dalla possibilit\u00e0 di fissare un istante rendendolo eterno. Il tempo \u00e8 infatti al centro della sua ricerca: quello nostalgico del passato, dal quale resuscita antichi edifici oggi in decadenza, e quello del futuro, proiettato in visioni minimali di architetture moderne dalle forme avveniristiche e dai colori astratti.
\nE\u2019 stato pubblicato su importanti magazine d\u2019arte italiani e internazionali tra cui il prestigioso \u201cL\u2019oeil de la photographie\u201d. Ha esposto durante l\u2019anno in corso in varie citt\u00e0 italiane e tra i suoi pi\u00f9 recenti riconoscimenti annovera i premi al Moscow International Foto Awards e al Neutral Density Photography Awards con la serie \u201cDe-sidera\u201d, progetto fotografico dedicato ai luoghi abbandonati il cui libro \u201cPolvere a colori\u201d \u00e8 stato pubblicato nel 2022.<\/p>\n

IL PROGETTO \u201cDE-SIDERA\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Un viaggio di anni lungo tutta l\u2019Italia alla ricerca di edifici abbandonati inaccessibili, il cui fascino non e\u0300 stato eroso ma sublimato dall\u2019azione del tempo, avvicinandolo a quell\u2019ideale romantico in cui piacere e paura, bellezza e mistero, si fondono insieme. [\u2026] Il profumo della polvere ancora intrisa di vita, il rumore sordo dei muri scrostati, i preziosi lampadari caduti: ritratti di architetture.<\/p>\n

All\u2019interno di questi ambienti il potere della fotografia di fermare il tempo diventa magia. [\u2026] Platone defini\u0300 il tempo come \u201cl\u2019immagine mobile dell\u2019eternita\u0300\u201d, segnando la stretta relazione fra la dimensione temporale e quella spaziale ma subordinando il tutto all\u2019eterno, esattamente come avviene dentro queste stanze. E\u0300 l\u2019eterno presente, in cui le impronte dell\u2019uomo sono ovunque e trasformano la sua mancanza in assenza.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Gabriele Gentile, aka\u00a0Vetroviola,<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0was born in 1986 in Parma (Italy).
\nHe approaches digital photography as a self-taught, fascinated by the idea of fixing an instant making it eternal. Time is at the focus of his research, the nostalgic one of the past from which he resurrects ancient buildings now in decay, and the one of the future, projected in minimal visions of contemporary architecture with futuristic shapes and abstract colors.
\nHe has been published in major italian and international art magazines including the prestigious \u201cL\u2019oeil de la photographie.\u201d He has exhibited in the current year in various italian cities and his most recent awards include prizes at Moscow International Foto Awards and Neutral Density Photography Awards with the series \u201cDe-sidera,\u201d a photographic project dedicated to abandoned places whose book \u201cColoured dust\u201d was published in 2022.<\/p>\n

THE \u201cDE-SIDERA\u201d PROJECT<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

A years-long journey throughout Italy in search of inaccessible abandoned buildings, whose charm has not been eroded but sublimated by the action of time, bringing it closer to that romantic ideal in which pleasure and fear, beauty and mystery blend together. [\u2026] The scent of dust still imbued with life, the dull noise of peeling walls, the precious fallen chan- deliers: portraits of architecture.<\/p>\n

Within these environments the power of photography to stop time becomes magic. [\u2026] Plato defined time as \u201cthe mobile image of eternity\u201d, marking the close relationship between the temporal and spatial dimensions but subordinating everything to the eternal, exactly as happens inside these rooms.
