\u201cVivo in una casa in fiamme\u201d visualizza la sensazione di provare rabbia e risentimento. Questa sensazione \u00e8 durata a lungo fino a quando ho notato che provare rabbia e risentimento faceva solo male a me e a nessun altro. Ma, anche dopo esserne venuta a conoscenza, \u00e8 stato difficile smettere. Mi sentivo intrappolata in questi sentimenti che mi stavano causando dolore. Ho iniziato a scrivere nel mio diario artistico cercando di capire come ci si sentiva in termini di immagini. Sembrava che il mio corpo fosse una casa e io fossi intrappolata all\u2019interno di una casa in fiamme. La fiamma stava sciogliendo il mio corpo. C\u2019\u00e8 una porta uscire, ma \u00e8 come se stessi scegliendo di non andarmene. Rappresentata dalle braccia inerti, mi sono arresa mentre le fiamme avvolgono il mio corpo.<\/p>\n

Volevo dipingere qualcosa che mi aiutasse a uscire da questa sensazione, quindi ho sostituito le fiamme con i fiori. Ci sono molti elementi ripetitivi nel dipinto e, in un certo senso, questa ripetitivit\u00e0 \u00e8 stata usata come trattamento meditativo per la rabbia e il risentimento che portavo. Nel giro di un mese, quei sentimenti si erano risolti. Sostituendo le fiamme con i fiori ho sostituito il dolore con la conquista e il successo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI live in a burning house\u201d visualises the feeling of experiencing anger and resentment. This feeling lasted for a long time until I noticed having anger and resentment was only hurting me and no one else. But, even after becoming aware of it, it was hard to stop. I felt trapped in these feelings that were causing me pain. I started writing in my art journal trying to figure out how this felt in terms of imagery. It felt like my body was a house and I was trapped inside of a burning house. The flame was melting my body. There is a door to walk out, but it\u2019s as if I\u2019m choosing not to leave. Represented by the limp arms, I\u2019ve given up while flames engulf my body.<\/p>\n

I wanted to paint something that would help me get out of this feeling, so I replaced flames with flowers. There are many repetitive elements in the painting, and in a way, this repetitiveness was used as a meditative treatment for the anger and resentment I was carrying. Within a month of it, those feelings had been resolved. By replacing flames with flowers I replaced pain with conquest and achievement.<\/p>\n

Nata a Seoul, in Corea del Sud,\u00a0Haejin Yoo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>e\u0300 un\u2019artista autodidatta specializzata in arte espressionista surrealista con pittura acrilica.
\nL\u2019arte di Haejin si snoda attraverso le sue esperienze di vita passate e presenti, con l\u2019intenzione di evocare le stesse emozioni provate una volta nel momento. Come simbolo della sua filosofia di vita secondo cui tutte le cose iniziano dalla terra, il suo approccio distintivo e\u0300 quello di dipingere su una tela grezza. Cio\u0300 significa che ogni tela viene tesa a mano sul telaio prima che la composizione prenda forma con una serie di tecniche e complesse applicazioni di colori.<\/p>\n

Il filo rosso tinto a mano e\u0300 cucito nella tela in un atto per firmare e fissare quel momento nel tempo (cio\u0300 che l\u2019opera rappresenta) e lasciandone una traccia indelebile.<\/p>\n

Born in Seoul, South Korea,\u00a0<\/span>Haejin Yoo<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/a>is a self-taught acrylic artist who specialises in surrealistic expressionist art.
\nHaejin\u2019s art meanders through her past and present life experiences with the intention to evoke the same emotions once felt in the moment. As a symbol of her philosophy in life that all things start from the ground, her signature approach is to paint on a raw canvas. This means every canvas is hand stretched onto the frame before the composition takes shape with a series of techniques and complex applications of colours.<\/p>\n
